Coronavirus is responsible for what we are going through right now in 2021. The breakthrough of coronavirus back in late 2019 — early 2020 did not make us think we would stumble upon the pains and hard times we are experiencing right now.

We saw thousands of people die all around the world because of infecting the virus. We saw how loved ones mourn the loss of their virus-infected beloved, we saw how people lost their jobs and be homeless. We saw how people struggle to meet ends.

But… the things we saw? Didn’t we experienced or are experiencing it by ourselves? At least one such from the above…

While we lived in a pre-pandemic world where no one cared about death, we considered our lives as ethereal. At least, that’s how we thought and acted. We chased our life goals, one after the other, achieved one goal, then set another and the loop continues.

Then the pandemic outbroke. We lost our life goals, our expectations, and even hope. We are now in a situation where we only hope and expect to live tomorrow with our loved ones.

We were so much attached to our life goals, our expectations, and desires, that once the pandemic out broke and things didn’t go the way we wanted, we felt lost moreover heartbroken.

The foremost lesson Covid 19 pandemic taught us was that nothing in this world is permanent. Not even your life!

With this in mind, I am listing down the lessons I realized in these hard times. Hope this might help another in need.

1. Be Thankful for everyday

We are passing such a time that our life tomorrow is so uncertain. Be thankful that you lived today.

2. Always practice the act of giving and showing gratitude

Since we are unsure about our life, always practice this, so you will not end up with forever regrets

3. Practice Mindfulness

Being mindful is living at present. We need to be mindful to stop getting infected by the virus. Mindfulness will make you aware of what is happening around you, how you are feeling right now and will reduce pain from the past and anxiety from the future.

4. Life flows like a river…. So let it flow

The pandemic taught us the life is very unpredictable. All the life plans we had just washed away. Life didn’t let us stick to all the plans we had. But life flows! It will not stop flowing just because the plans you had were fallen apart. Life has its plans! Give it a try. Let life flow on its own and see what life is going to give you.

5. Have Hope, Loose Expectations

While hope lets you live, expectations may kill you. Have hope in yourself and trust the process. Remember, “ This too shall pass!”.
